Chicken Tikka Masala


Ingredients :

1 large onion chopped

2Tbs Eastern ginger garlic paste

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp paprika

Eastern Kashmiri Chili to taste

1/4 tsp Eastern Turmeric Powder

Salt (or to taste)

1 Tbs Eastern Garam Masala

4 diced fresh tomatoes

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup of heavy cream or Coconut milk

 Method of Preparation :

In a Kadai heat 1-2Tbs of oil on medium-high heat and sauté onions and ginger  garlic paste for a few minutes.  Add ground spices to the mixture.  Fry until fragrant (careful not to burn).

Add the tomatoes and water and cook all the ingredients together for a few minutes. Next add the chicken tikkas made earlier.  Cook for another few minutes.  Finish off with cream or milk.

Sprinkle with cilantro/coriander. Better serve with Rice or Roti.

  1. This chicken tikka masala recipe is so delicious; it’s my son’s favourite dish. I usually double the chicken tikka masala recipe because everyone wants more than one serving.
